Will your sewing machine fit the cabinet? Check five separate constraints
1. Reserve the cabinet’s working footprint
Use the opened configuration for the activity you plan to do. The linked Judy sheet provides separate open and closed dimensions, as does the current Koala Compact page. Folded dimensions describe storage; they do not reserve the space occupied by a leaf in use. Add chair and circulation needs to the plan rather than assuming every empty square inch can hold furniture.
2. Compare the machine with the actual lift opening
The full tabletop is not the opening. Judy’s linked A10 drawing and Koala’s current product page specify distinct openings. Measure the machine configuration the instructions require, including relevant projections. Do not infer the axis order from an unlabeled dimension string or import a carton size into a machine-fit check. Our database preserves those source limitations.
3. Resolve weight and lift conditions
Arrow advertises a lift capacity up to 55 lb for Judy. We did not verify a corresponding weight limit in the reviewed Koala Compact page, so that field remains unknown. One cabinet’s rating cannot be inherited by another. Ask the seller what the load limit applies to and which attachments or accessories must be considered. [Source]
4. Match the insert to both products
An insert is a separate purchase decision. Ask for the exact machine/cabinet pairing, intended lift position and revision. The fact that a rectangular opening is bigger than the machine body does not prove the insert is correct, the machine can be lowered safely or every control remains accessible. Keep any written fit confirmation with the quote.
5. Check the operating configuration
Koala explicitly lists Aurora and Bloom among compatible machines, which is useful evidence. It does not by itself certify all embroidery-attachment positions, moving-frame clearances or every accessory. Treat the equipment at rest and the equipment operating as different envelopes. Use the planner for the part it can answer
The workspace tool checks a rectangle after your entered allowances against an available rectangle. It cannot assess lift capacity, stability, height, ergonomics or frame motion. Use it to eliminate an obvious space conflict, not to produce a compatibility certificate. Finish the decision with verified documentation and a complete delivered quote, including any insert, assembly and shipping charges.
