How we match models, preserve units, record missing evidence and test the planning tools.
Manufacturer evidence first
Exact-model product pages, official manuals, support answers and accessory lists are the source of technical claims. Retailer lists can identify a lead but do not silently replace a conflicting manufacturer reference. A verification date means the source was checked, not that the product was physically tested or its document freshly issued.
Keep identity attached to the number
Record the complete model and part number, including suffixes, region and revision when available. Preserve source units and distinguish machine-only dimensions from carton or operating-envelope measurements. Nominal inch field labels are not automatically exact conversions of documented metric limits.
Three different kinds of statement
A manufacturer-listed relationship is positive documentary evidence. A geometric calculation is a screen using the stated inputs. An unverified relationship means the reviewed evidence did not establish an answer. None should be substituted for another. We do not interpret omission from a model list as proof of incompatibility.
Testing the implementation
Numerical tests cover known examples, unit boundaries, invalid inputs and calculations. Browser tests check interactive controls, no-JavaScript access, mobile overflow and the single affiliate listener. Passing software tests confirms the implementation of the stated method, not the safety or quality of an individual machine setup.
Updating a record
New primary documentation may resolve an unknown or change a recorded statement. Keep the source and its scope visible. Do not erase an unresolved conflict merely to make a table look complete. Current prices, inventory, warranties and product eligibility must be confirmed with the seller.
