Brother SA156 bobbins: verify the model, not just “Class 15”
What has actually been verified
The manufacturer support answer specifies SA156 high plastic Class 15 bobbins and explicitly includes SE700, SE725, SE2000 and PE900 in its covered-model list. That is the evidence behind the four positive matches in our finder. We do not assign the same part to an unrelated model merely because it is also made by Brother or has a similar case.
Material is not a cosmetic detail
The same support answer warns against substituting metal bobbins in the covered machines and directs users toward the included or same type of bobbin. Separate an empty bobbin from a ready-to-use supply
An accessory number identifies a component, but an offer may also include prewound thread, packaging quantities or other supplies. Verify what is being sold and the requirements of the actual machine/project before valuing a bundle. A documented physical part relationship does not establish that every prewound product using similar marketing terms is suitable.
Use an evidence-first purchase checklist
Read the model from the machine label, retain any suffix and compare the exact part reference with the manufacturer’s current list or manual. When a retailer provides a broader list, ask for the corresponding manufacturer documentation rather than treating it as automatically verified. If sources conflict, stop at “unverified” until the conflict is resolved. A visual resemblance is not an adequate substitute.
