These are separate product records

The reviewed Brother pages describe SAMF180 as a 5 × 7 magnetic sash frame and SAMF180N as a 4 × 7 magnetic frame. Their model lists are also different. Dropping the final N in a search, comparison table or order can therefore erase information needed to identify the accessory. Preserve the exact label even when a retailer abbreviates the title.

What the official evidence establishes

The SAMF180N page explicitly names PE800, PE900, SE1900, SE2000, NS1250E and NS2850D series machines. The SAMF180 page instead names families including NQ, Stellaire, Dream Machine, Luminaire, V and Essence. Our finder records positive launch-model matches only where the exact reference appears. It does not turn the absence of a model in another list into a definitive incompatibility verdict.

Frame size and machine field are still separate

A machine in the 5 × 7 class does not automatically accept every frame with that phrase in its title. Nor does an accepted frame necessarily expose the entire maximum field in every configuration. Check the instructions for the exact accessory, the recognized frame selection and any firmware requirement. A rectangular design-fit result alone cannot settle the mounting question.

Keep material claims within their stated scope

Both reviewed magnetic-frame pages state a material-thickness limit of up to 2 mm. That is a manufacturer claim tied to those products, not an independent evaluation of every fabric stack or a recommendation for any particular project. Follow the equipment instructions and the accessory’s magnetic-safety warnings. Do not improvise a modification to make another frame fit.

What to send the seller before ordering

Provide the full machine model, the complete accessory number and the relevant source link. Ask for confirmation of the supplied revision and all conditions for use. Keep that answer with the order.
