Aurora has a different built-in library and a published embroidery-speed figure, but it does not offer a larger documented field than SE700. Both support wireless transfer workflows.

The design-size limit is shared

The reviewed manufacturer documentation pairs both machines with a 100 × 100 mm field description. A design exceeding that width or height is not rescued by Aurora’s larger built-in pattern library. Check finished design size first, then evaluate whether the available patterns, controls and support match the way you plan to work.

Library size is a preference, not a test score

Aurora documents 303 built-in embroidery designs and 191 sewing stitches, while SE700 documents 135 and 103 respectively. The useful question is how many of those choices you expect to use. A bigger total does not establish better stitch formation, more durable mechanics or a higher resale value. Inspect representative designs and ask about any rights or software needed for the projects you intend to produce.

Do not mix sewing and embroidery speed

Aurora’s reviewed specifications list a 400-spm embroidery rate. SE700 lists a 710-spm maximum sewing rate, but we did not verify its embroidery maximum in that source. Comparing 400 against 710 would mix two modes and create a false conclusion. The table deliberately leaves the unverified embroidery field blank for SE700 rather than borrowing a number from a related model.

Check accessories by model code

Brother’s SAMFM100 page explicitly lists SE700 and BLMAR, the Aurora code. That is one documented cross-brand accessory relationship, not a universal interchangeability rule. Choose the actual package and support arrangement

Request a complete quote from each seller, identify what support is available and check the transfer workflow using your devices. Use the cost planner to avoid double-counting included items. Choosing Aurora for a preferred library or support package can be reasonable; choosing it because the higher design count supposedly enlarges the embroidery field is not. We have not performed comparative stitch-outs, measured noise or tested either machine’s longevity.
